Ardeer Primary School was looking to upgrade an existing exposed asphalt sport court area by building a new COLA roof structure to allow all weather play for sports and assembly usage. It was important to maintain a cost-effective design while still incorporating a clean visual result with excellent natural lighting. There was a high risk of underground rock soil conditions, and requirements for stormwater connection to existing underground networks.

The outcome

Greenline was able to provide a turnkey ‘one-stop’ solution for the school including the full design, engineering and construction of the roof structure, new synthetic surface, sports equipment and underground plumbing works. The clean visual design was achieved with CHS (circular) columns, and curved UB (Universal Beam) rafters and integrated Wonderglas skylights strips.
